Term | Definition |

Ability | A skill that has been developed. EX: I have the ability to focus on my work. |
Aptitude | The natural ability or potential for learning new skills. EX: She has the aptitude for singing. |
Attitude | A person's outlook on life, usually positive or negative. EX: The girl had a positive attitude today. |
Interest | Things you enjoy doing. EX: I have interest in becoming a lawyer. |
Growth Mindset | The belief that you can be better at something by working on it. EX: He has a growth mindset so, he believes he can get better at basketball. |
Learning Style | The way in which you think to learn. EX: My learning style is listening. |
Lifestyle | The way in which you live. EX: Everyone has their own lifestyle. |
Personality | The combination of attitude, values, interests, and behaviors that identify a person. EX: She has a great personality. |
Respect | Consideration of others. EX: I respect my friends and family. |
Self Awareness | The ability to focus on yourself and learn about who you are. It is important to understand and know things about yourself, so you can make decisions about your future. EX: I have self awareness. |
Self Esteem | How you value and perceive yourself. EX: He has high self esteem. |
Skill | The ability to perform a task/activity well. EX: It takes skill to get an award. |
Values | Personal standards by which you live. EX: I have lots of values. |
