TermDefinition
Ability A skill that has been developed. I have the ability to jump high.
Aptitude The natural ability or potential for learning new skills. I have an aptitude on playing soccer.
Attitude A persons outlook on life, usually positive of negative. Its important to have a good attitude so everyone else can treat you the way you treated them.
Interest Things you enjoy doing. Many people have an interest on sport cars.
Growth Mindset The belief that you can be better at something by working on it. Having a Growth Mindset can make you improve in many places.
Learning Style The way in which you think to help you learn Everyone has a different learning Style.
Life Style The way in which you live. My sister and I have very different Life Styles.
Personality The combination of attitude, values, interest and behaviors that identify a person. Having a great Personality will make people enjoy being around you.
Respect Consideration of others. Respecting other human beings will get them to respect you.
Self Awareness The ability to focus on yourself and learn about who you are. It is important to understand and know things about yourself, so you can make decisions about your future. Our first unit in Career Development is about Self Awareness.
Self Esteem How you value and perceive yourself. Having a good Self Esteem will allow you to have more confidence.
Skill The ability to perform a certain task/activity well. Many sports require skill to play good.
Values Personal standards by which you live. I Value my family and my belongings.
