| Trapezoid | A quadrilateral with only one pair of parallel sides |
| Rectangle | parallelogram with four right angles |
| Quadrilateral | polygon with four sides |
| Parallelogram | A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides |
| Parallel Lines | Lines that are the same distance apart and never cross each other |
| Square | parallelogram with four right angles and all sides the same length |
| Rectangular prism | A solid figure with six rectangular faces |
| Triangular Prism | A solid figure with two triangular faces |
| Cone | solid figure with a circle as its base and a curved surface that meets at a point. |
| Rhombus | parallelogram with all sides the same length |
| Solid figure | A figure that has a length, width, and height |
| Cube | A solid figure with six same size squares as its faces |
| Cylinder | A solid figure with two circular bases |
| Face | The flat surface of a solid figure |
| Vertex | the point where two ray meet to form an angle and the point where the sides of a polygon meet OR point where three or more edges meet in a solid figure and the pointed part of a cone |

| Edge | A line segment where two faces meet in a solid figure |

| Area | number of square units needed to cover a space |
| Prism | a solid three-dimensional shape with two bases that look the same |
| Triangle | a polygon with three angles and three sides. |

| Hexagon | a polygon with 6 sides |
| Pyramid | a solid three-dimensional shape with a polygon base and triangular faces that taper to a point (vertex) |
