Apostrophe ' A punctuation mark that shows OWNERSHIP (Sofia's book) or shows that a letter has been taken out to make a word shorter (she's instead of She Is) The apostrophe shows the I has been taken out to make it faster to say.
Character development How an author makes a character feel real and have a personality and goals.
Colon : A punctuation mark that STARTS a list. Example: She knew the things she had to find: a flashlight, a candle, and water.
Command Giving orders, telling people what to do, controlling people
Conflict resolution When 2 people or groups having a disagreement find a solution that solves what they are fighting about.
