Why does timber outside need to be protected? To prevent wear and tear and to prevent fungus infection
What are preservatives? Chemicals used to treat wood to give it protection to extend its use of life.
How do preservatives work? By creating a barrier to that stops insects and fungi from attacking the wood
What is the first step you would take to protect a picnic table? Use a solvent best suited
What is the second step you would use to protect a picnic table? Apply a preservative
What is the third step you would use to protect a picnic table? Brush each coat carefully
What is the fourth step you would use to protect a picnic table? Wear protective gloves
