What is a Force? Push or pull
What is a Newton? The strength of a force is measureds in the SI unit.
What is a Net force? The combination of all forces acting on an object.
What is a Unbalanced Force? Forces that produce a nonzeronet force, which changes an object's motion.
What is a Balanced Force? Egual forces acting on one object in opposite directions.
What is a Friction? The force that two surfaces exert on each other when they rub against each other.
What is a Static Friction? The friction that acts on objects that are not moving.
What is a Sliding Friction? Occurs when two solid surfaces slide over each other.
What is a Rolling Friction? When an object rolls across a surface.
What is a Fluid Friction? Fluids such as water, oil, or air, are materials that flow easily.
What is Gravity? A force that pulls objects toward each other.
What is Weight? The force of gravity bon a person or object at the surface of a planet.
What is a Free fall? The motion of a falling object when the only force actingon its gravity.
What is Air resistance? Objects falling through air experience a type of fluid friction.
What is a Terminal velocity? The greatest velocity a falling object reaches.
What is a Projectile? An object that is thrown.
What is Inertia? The tendency of an object to resist a change in motion.
What is Momentum? The product of an object's mass and velocity.
What is a Satellite? Is any object that orbits another object in space.
What is a Centripetal force? Is any force that causes an object to move in a circular path.
