Electric and Magnetic Forces

QuestionAnswer
magnet An object that attracts, or pulls on, materials that contain iron.
magnetic force The push or pull exerted by magnets.
electric forces The force of attraction or repulsion between objects due to their charges.
electric field The area around a charged object in which another object is affected by the electric field.
magnetic field The area around a magnet in which magnetic forces affect magnetic objects.
electromagnet A magnet that functions on electricity usually consisting of a coil of wire around an iron core.
