Family's Emotional Bank Account Family is important but very rocky, it is necessary that we ask ourselves as students, " What deposits do I make?" or "What withdrawals should I make up for?"
Rules for Making Deposits There are two rules to remember for making deposits in the Emotional Bank Account. First one is, a deposit is the a true deposit if the other person see it as one. The second one is an already satisified need is not a big motivator.
Abundance Mentality People with this mindset are happy for others and the milestones they have hit. They know there is enough success to go around for everyone.
Scarcity Mentality People with this mindset are threatened by other's success. It could be friends or family or significant other. Other's accompliments take the spotlight from the individuals.
Stop and Think When faced with an opportunity, slow yourself down and ask yourself questions that will be beneficial to you and the situation you are in.
Self-Worth About you and what is in your heart, tour unique talents and potiential, and improving the life you have at hand: but has nothing tp do with anyone else
Effective Students See They are able to to be in high courage and consideration. To having an abundance, which is plenty for themselves and others.
Effective Students Get More shared wins with teammates and fellow classmates, faster and better solutions to problems, and richer and more meaningful friendships
Effective Students Do Balance courage with consideration, feel happy for others success, look for openings to partners and collaboration, and share credit and recognition.
Win-Lose You are low in consideration and high in courage.
Win-Win or No Deal Balancing courage and consideration
Lose-Lose You are low in both courage and consideration.
Lose-Win You are high in consideration but low in courage.
Forgive Learn to forgive and forgive so that you don't keep hurting yourself that way you were hurt.
Give feedback Honest feedback is a deposit if it is done with tact, so let people know how you feel and what a win it is for you.
Apologize If you are wrong admit it, do not wait or make excuses for your behavior.
Set Clear Expectations Do not leave things fuzzy, say and follow through on what is excepted.
Be Loyal Keep confidences, be loyal to the absent, and avoid gossiping, or back stabbing .
Do Small Acts of Kindess Take the initiative, be kind to others, create connections, or introduce yourself to others.
