polarity How the charge is distributed in a bond
volatile compound Atoms that exist as gas at room temperature
volume The amount of space an object takes up
pressure A force applied uniformly over an area
directly proportional When one quantity increases, so dose the related quantity
inversely proportional When one quantity increases, the opposite quantity decreases
internal energy The transfer of heat or thermal energy
exothermic reaction The release of thermal energy
endothermic reaction The absorption of heat energy
activation energy The energy needed to start a reaction
catalyst Increases the rate of a reaction
