insulator A material or device that does not allow electricity to flow through it.
conductor A material or device that allows electricity to flow through it.
electricity Energy caused by the movement of electrons through matter.
battery A device that makes electricity by using chemical reactions.
electrical outlet The point in an electrical system where there is access to the current
parallel circuit A circuit in which electric current flows through more than one path.
series circuit A circuit in which electric current flows in the same direction among a single path.
lightning the discharge of static electricity during a storm.
electric discharge The sudden movement of electric charges from one object to another object.
light bulb A glass object that fits into a lamp or similar device and produces light.
plug A device with two or three metal pieces that you put into a power source in the wall to get electric power.
