TermDefinition
inquire to question, investigate or be curious about something.
keyword the most important words of an information search (what you are researching).
database an online collection of various information sources that is organized so that information can easily be accessed.
boolean operators simple words (AND, OR, NOT) that are combined with keywords to make an information search more specific and focused.
search string text, numbers, or symbols entered by a user into a search engine to find information results.
search engine a program that searches for and identifies items in a database that relate to keywords searched by the user, used especially for finding sites on the Internet.
credible An information source that is true or accurate; able to be believed.
point of view Someone’s opinion or attitude about something; a way someone sees something (perspective).
bias When someone favors a particular idea over other ideas OR having something against someone else.
