| Denudation | When rocks on the earth's surface are constantly being worn down by a number of processes |
| Weathering | The process that physically changes solid rocks into smaller pieces or sediments |
| Erosion | The process that breaks down and moves the sediments away from their original positions |
| Mechanical Weathering | The physical breaking down of rocks into smaller pieces |
| Chemical Weathering | Caused by chemical changes, when rock is dissolved or decayed |
| Karst landscapes | A landscape made up of limestone |
| Limestone features | This is called a limestone pavement, the pavement is made up of clints and grikes |
| Swallow Hole | When the grikes become enlarged, forming big vertical holes known as swallow holes. |
| Stalactites | These hang from the roof |
| Stalagmites | These build up on the floor and grow upwards |
| Pillars | When a stalactites and stalagmites meet |
| Biological Weathering | When rocks are worn away by animals plants and living organisms |
| Scree | Pieces or rock and rubble found at the bottom of a slope |
| Permeable | When water can pass through a rock |
