Drugs and Classifications

MIDRIN- acetaminophen/dichloralphenazone/isomethiptene Migraine Med- Combination analgesic, sedative, and symppathomimetic
MAXALT-rizatriptan Serotonin receptor agonist- Treating acute migraine headaches with or without aura in adults
TOPAMAX-topiramate Anticonvulsant- Prevent seizures in adults and children who are at least 2 yrs old, also to prevent migraine headaches.
AMERGE-naratriptan Serotonin receptor agonist- works by narrowing blood vessels in the brain.
LIPITOR-atorvastatin Antihyperlipidimic- Lowers high choloesterol and triglycerides in certain patients. Reduces the risk for congestive heart failure.
DEPAKOTE- divalproex sodium Anticonvulsant- Treat certain types of seizures and convulsions.
NEXIUM-esomeprazole magnesium Proton pump inhibitor- Relives heartburn and other symptoms caused by the backflow of stomach acid into the canal to the stomach, a condition known as (gerd)
IMITREX-sumatriptan Migraine Med.- treatment of migraine headaches with or without aura.
RELPAX- eletriptan Triptan- A migraine headache is thought to be caused by widened blood vessels exerting pressure on the brain.
ZOMIG-zolmitriptan Triptan- Treating acute migraine headaches with or without aura in adults.
