TPACK MODEL

TermDefinition
TPACK TPACK is a technology intregration framework that identifies three types of knowledge teachers need to combine for successful edtech integration-technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge.
PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE (PK) describes teachers' knowledge of the practices, processes, and methods regarding teaching and learning
TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE (TK) Knowledge about certain ways of thinking about, and working with technology, tools and resources.
PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (PCK) This framework describes the kind of knowledge required by teachers for the successful integration of technology in teaching . it suggest that teachers need to know about the intersections of technology, pedagogy and content.
TECHNOLOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (TCK) this framework describes the teachers' understanding of how technology and content both influence and constrain one another.
TECHNOLOGICAL PEDAGOGICAL KNOWLEDGE (TPK) descibes the relationships and interaction between technological tools and specific pedagogical practices. It highlights the area where technology and pedagogy influences each other.
TECHNOLOGICAL PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (TPACK) specific technological tools(hardware, software, applications associated information literacy practices etc) are best used to instruct and guide students toward a better, more robust understanding of the subject matter.
