Critical Thinking Elements

| Purpose | The goal or objective. |
| Question | What needs to be solved? |
| Point of View | From what perspective is an issue being looked at or characterized? |
| Information | Statistical data, our observations, others' testimony, etc. |
| Assumptions | Something taken for granted as true in order to figure out something else. |
| Inferences | Beginning with something we know (or believe we know)and figure out something else based on it. |
| Implications | What follows from our reasoning, good or bad. |
| Concepts | General categories or ideas by which we interpret or classify information in our thinking. |
