TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge
Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge Model This refers to how teachers teach content using technology. It is an overlapping Venn diagram with the three components: technology, content, pedagogy.
Pedagogy How to teach, the methods.
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) How to teach specific content.
Lee S. Shulman He developed the concept of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) in 1986. He believed content knowledge and pedagogy for that specific content overlapped.
Punya Mishra and Matthew J. Koehler In 2006, Mishra and Koehler created the TPACK model to show the interaction of technology as a means to deliver content effectively.
Technological Content Knowledge (TCK) Technology used for specific content and how technology influences content.
Judith B. Harris and Mark J. Hofer These researchers developed a lesson planning model using TPACK based on an activity that will best teach the content.
Learning Activities Taxonomies (LAT) Harris and Hofer call for organized collections of activities for teaching specific content that incorporates the best technology to accomplish the learning objectives.
Technology Integration This is what TPACK is about--how to successfully integrate technology to best teach content.
