Manners and Etiquette

Serving Style How food will be served to each person
Informal serving style Food passed around the table for each person to serve themselves or served by the head of the household. Usually used with family or friends.
Buffet Food displayed for each person to serve themselves (informal)
Plate Food served from a kitchen. pre-portioned (formal)
Russian/Continental Most formal serving style - servers will serve the meal
