High school vocab

TermDefinition
Credit What a student earns for completing or passing a class. you have to have high school credit to graduate.
Courses Another word for class. I have seven courses in a day.
Diploma Certificate that represents completion of a program of study. After all four year of high school you can graduate with a diploma.
Elective A course that is not required but can be chosen by students if they are interested in that class. My mom the the class elective art.
Graduation Requirement Standards that must be met in order to receive a diploma. I have to retake this class because its a Graduation Requirements.
Advance placement class Accelerated and more challenging classes. I am in advance placement classes for English.
Freshmen 9th grade year. Next year i'll be a freshmen.
Sophomore 10th grade year Next year the 9th graders with be sophomores.
Junior 11th grade year Next year the 10th graders will be Juniors
Senior 12th grade year. Next year 11th graders will be seniors.
Prerequisite a course that is required before another course can be taken.
