high school vocab

TermDefinition
credit Students earns credit for completing or passing a class.
course Another word for class.
diploma A certificate is given to the students at their high school graduation ceremony.
elective Students can choose classes that isn't required.
Graduation Requirements Students need to meet their Graduation Requirements in order to receive their diploma.
Advance Placement Classes More challenging classes.
Prerequisite A class that is required before another course can be taken.
GPA A grading system that represents that averages your grades to determine how well you preformed in all your classes.
Freshmen 9th grade (how you are classified in high school)
Sophomore 10th grade
Junior 10th grade
Senior 12th grade
