cognitive (adj) related to the process of knowing, understanding, and learning something
enhanced (adj) improved or better
ward off (V) to do something to try to protect yourself from something bad, such as illness, danger, or attack
fundamental (adj) relating to the most basic and important parts of something
resilience (N) the ability to become strong, happy, or successful again after a difficult situation or event
cope (V) to succeed in dealing with a difficult problem or situation
isolated (adj) feeling alone and unable to meet or speak to other people
compromise (N) an agreement that is achieved after everyone involved accepts less than what they wanted at first, or the act of making this agreement
monitor (V) to carefully watch and check a situation in order to see how it changes over a period of time
strategy (N) a planned series of actions for achieving something
