What is an immigrant? From what countries did midwest immigrants come from? A person from another country. Europ, Germany, Sweden, Norway.
What was the Northwest Ordinance? It said the northwest territory must be divided into more than 3, but less than 5 states. No more slavery.
What are some natural resources found in the midwest? Soil Minerals, Water, oil.
Why did so many Midwest Cities grow near waterways? It was great for transportation and trading.
Name at least 3 important industreis of the midwest. Cars, farming, healthcare, manufacturing.
Name 3 uses for land in the midwest. Farming, Raising hogs, dairy farming.
What mountain range is to the west of the midwest region? Rocky mountains.
What mountain range is to the east of the midwest region? Appalachian Mountains
What is a destructive column of spinning air? Tornado
What do we call a heavy snowstorm with powerful winds? Blizzard
Name the 4 great lakes that are a part of the midwest? Erie, Huron, Michigan, Superior.
