| Potential Energy | Energy stored due to it's position. |
| Kinetic Energy | Energy of motion. |
| Position | The location of an object. |
| Force | A push or a pull. |
| Newton (N) | A unit that describes measurement of force. |
| Mass | A measure of the quantity of matter in an object. |
| Friction | A force acting between surfaces in contact; friction acts to resist motion. |
| Attraction | To pull toward each other. |
| Gravity | The natural attraction between masses; on Earth, all objects are pulled toward the center of Earth. |
| Weight | The force of gravity on a mass. |
| Law of Conservation of Energy | states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be transformed from PE and KE and transferred from one object to another. |
