Notes should be written in short phrases
The book, video or website where facts are found is a source
These are helpful in keeping notes organized bullet points
To combine information from multiples sources is to synthesize
Finding out more about a topic is research
To think carefully about all of your information is to reflect
Giving credit to an author for their original work is a citation
An organized list of all the sources you used is a bibliography
The exact words an author uses is a direct quote
When you use other people's words and ideas without giving them credit is called plagiarism
A note telling where you found the information is a citation
