How has Brian changed mentally? Brian has become more observant and he is more positive.
How has Brian's body changed since he crashed in the Canadian wilderness? Brian has become thin, tan, and he looks leathery
What did Brian do to clean his shelter? Brian cleaned his shelter by shaking out his windbreaker and he cleaned out the sand where he slept.
What is the main conflict that Brian is facing right now in Hatchet? Brian is alone in the wilderness with no rescuers or people around him.
How do you know a good deal of time has past between the end of chapter 12 when the plane flies away at the beginning of Ch. 13? You know that time has past because Brian begins to make tools for fish and then in Ch. 13 he says he is tired of fish.
While he was hunting, Brian sensed an animal near by. What was the animal? a wolf

On Brian's first feast day what did he eat? fish
The day after the skunk took Brian's eggs, what did he do? Brian built a better shelter

How does Brian store his fish? Brian made a mesh trap in the lake.
Which question does Ch. 13-14 answer? Which event changes the way that Brian started to live?
What is the main conflict of Hatchet and how is it resolved? How does Brian get food? Brian makes a trap for fish in the lake and stores them there.
How did Brian know how many days he has been in the Canadian wilderness? Brian kept track of the days somewhere.
Brian knows he can not catch small rabbits or squirrels because they are too fast, but what does he think he can hit with an arrow or spear? Fool Bird
What secret did Brian discover about catching the fool bird? he learned to look for their shape not their colors.
How did Brian cook the fool bird? he cleaned it and slowly cooked it on a stick.
What does Brian eat? he eats fool bird, fish, and berries.
How did Brian move close to the fool birds? He waited until he was 3 feet away and then attacked.
What was Brian attacked by while washing the fool bird in the lake? How did he escape the attack? a moose. He walked slowly out of the water
The roaring sound of what awakened Brian? a tornado.
Why could Brian not sleep after the storm? mosquitos attacked him.
Brian lost everything in the storm, although he felt different now than when he first came into the area...why? He felt that he was finally full.
After the sun came up, Brian noticed what in the lake? The tail of the plane.
How did Brian feel about the pilot? He thought the he should say a few words, but didn't know what to say.
