| Mass customization | Designing individually specific goods and services with the low unit cost associated with mass production |
| Brand philosophy | The ideals and values with which a company wishes to be associated. |
| Triple bottom line | Positive human, environmental and commercial successes. |
| Ethical consumerism | The choices of what to buy and where to buy it on the basis of morals and ethics |
| Stewardship | An approach to managing the environmental impacts of different products and materials and at different stages in their production. |
| Design co-operative | Groups of independent designers with usually share values and resources. |
| Creative economy | Based on people's use of their creative imagination to increase an idea's value. |
| Guerrilla marketing | Low cost, and unusually noticeable strategy to increase brand awareness. |
| Open source design | Designs which are made freely available for anyone to make or adapt without paying for the intellectual property. |
