8.2 Sound Waves

TermDefinition
Vibration to move back and forth very quickly.
Loud to have a large amount of sound, easily heard.
Soft quiet or low in tone.
Pitch the highness or lowness of a tone.
Frequency the rate something is repeated over a given period of time.
Wave form that energy takes when traveling. Moving back and forth or up and down.
Sound anything that people or animals hear with their ears.
Energy the power or ability to make something work or be active.
Energy Transfer movement of energy from one place to another.
Bend to take on a curved or angled form.
Move to change position or place, to be in motion.
Amplitude maximum distance moved by a point on a vibrating body or wave measured from its equilibrium position.
