Chemical Reaction the process by which substances change to produce different substances
Chemical Equation A short, easy way to show a chemical reaction, using symbols.
Subscript Tells the number of atoms of an element in a molecule
Coefficient Tells the number of molecules involved in a reaction
Reactants inputs in a chemical reaction (ingredients that goes in)
Products output made by a chemical reaction (what is formed)
yield to produce, to make, to form
Conservation of Mass Mass can not be created nor destroyed
Open System Can exchange matter with the environment
Closed System Cannot exchange matter with the environment
Balanced Equation an equation in which each side has the same number of atoms of each element
