TermDefinition
Credit what a student earns for completing/passing a class. Students receive 1 credit for a course that last all year, 1/2 credit for a semester long class.
Course Another word for class.
Diploma Certificate that represents completion of a program of study.
Elective A course that is not required but can be chosen by students if they are interested in the class.
Graduation requirements Standards that must be met in order to receive a diploma.
Advanced placement classes Accelerated and more challenging classes.
Freshmen 9th Grade year How you are classified in high school.
Sophomore 10th Grade year.
junior 11th Grade year
Senior 12th Grade year
Prerequisite A course that is required before another course can be taken.

GPA Grading system that represents that averages your grades determine how well you preformed in all your classes.
