Types of schools

Match the correct school to the information provided

SchoolRequirements
Academies Ofsted Don't have to follow National Curriculum Set own Admission Policy
Independent schools Funded by the Government, run by Charitable Trust.
State Boarding Schools Ofsted Follow National Curriculum Set own Admission Policy Education is free but boarding is paid for Priority is given to the children who need to board.
City Technology Colleges Ofsted Follow National Curriculum but don't have to Set ow Admission Policy They are run under LEA but are overseen by the DFE. Independent schools in urban areas.
Private Schools Independent School Inspectorate Don't have to follow National Curriculum Set own Admission Policy Registered with the Government but not funded by the Government. An entrance exam has to be completed and these schools are inspected regularly.
Free Schools Ofsted Don't have to follow National Curriculum Own Admission Policy These schools are set up by organisations or group of individuals. They can set own pay and conditions for staff and change the lengths of school term days.
Faith Schools Ofsted Follow National Curriculum Set own Admission Policy
