TermDefinition
Ability A skill that has been developed Ex: I have the ability to play percussion
Aptitude The natural ability or potential for learning new skills Ex: I have a high aptitude in reading.
Attitude A person's outlook on life, usually positive or negative Ex: My sister had a bad attitude about going back to school.
Interest A thing a person enjoys doing or thinking about Ex: Some of my interests are sports, band, and art!
Learning Style Natural method or way one thinks or learns Ex: My learning style is by sight, but also watching someone else do it first.
Lifestyle Typical way of life Ex: I live a normal lifestyle.
Personality The combination of attitude, values, interests, and behaviors that identify a person Ex: I have a very bright personality.
Respect Consideration, especially for others Ex: I have 100% respect for my closest friends
Self Concept The way in which a person views his or her self-worth Ex: In today's world people struggle with self concept.
Self esteem Recognition and regard for oneself and ones abilities Ex: My self esteem went up this morning when someone complimented my jeans.
Skill The ability to perform a certain activity well Ex: My skills are helping people with their problems.
Values Personal standards by which one lives Ex: I value honesty and dependability.
Work Environment The setting, social features and physical conditions in which you perform your job Ex: My work setting is cheery because of my peers and teachers.
Working Conditions The aspects of an employee's terms and conditions of employment. Ex: My working conditions are hard because of the mask mandate.
