TermDefinition
Audience the intended target group for a message
Author’s Purpose the reason an author writes about a topic (to persuade, inform, entertain, or explain)
Brainstorming generating ideas about a certain topic
Complete Sentence a group of words that expresses a complete thought. It must have a subject (who/what) and a predicate (verb/action)
Editing a stage in the writing process when a written text is corrected attending to mechanics, grammar, and spelling
Fragment an incomplete sentence
Purpose the reason a person writes
Text Evidence text that supports a reader's claim, thought, inference, or analysis (proof)
