terms definitions
Acoustic nerve cranial nerve that controls the sense of hearing and equilibrium and eventually leads to the cerebellum and medulla
Auditory canal 1-inch segment of tube that runs from external ear to the middle ear
Auditory ossicles set of three small bony structures in ear: malleus, incus, and stapes
Eustachian tube tubular structure within middle ear that runs to the nasopharynx (throat)
Labyrinth bony maze composed of the vestibule, cochlea, and semicircular canals of the inner ear
Otic pertaining to the ear
Tympanic membrane membranous skin that separates the external ear from the middle ear
