Chemical Reaction | A process in which one or more substances, the reactants, are converted to one or more different substances, the products. Substances are either chemical elements or compounds. |
Chemical Change | A reaction that causes a substance to change into an entirely substance with a new chemical formula. |
Unexpected Color Change | A type of chemical reaction that results in a in a complete change of color from the reactants |
Unexpected Temperature Change | A type of chemical reaction that results in a temperature change, exothermic (feels hot) or endothermic (feels cold) |
Combustion/Burning | A chemical reaction between substances, usually including oxygen and usually accompanied by the generation of heat and light in the form of flame. |
Precipitates | A solid formed by a change in a solution, often due to a chemical reaction or change in temperature that decreases solubility of a solid |
Bubbles | A chemical reaction that results in a gas being released which causes bubbles |
Physical Change | A change that only changes the physical appearance of a substance not the chemical composition. |
