Spring 2021 Final Exam Review Vocab

TermDefinition
Workbook A spreadsheet file with many pages
Worksheet Similar to the first page in a book - where you enter information. Composed of rows, columns, and cells.
Column Starts at the top of the worksheet and goes to the bottom of the worksheet and is identified by a letter.
Row Starts at the left edge of the worksheet and continues to the right and is identified by a number
Active Cell Outlined by a bold rectangle. Also called current or highlighted cell.
Quick Access Toolbar Gives you fast and easy access to the tools you use most often in any given Excel session.
Name Box Indicates the current cell you are in as well as gives you the opportunity to name the cell or a range Top of Form
Placeholder A box that can hold either text or a graphic object.
Normal View The default view in PowerPoint that lets you focus in an individual slide
Outline View Same as Normal view except instead of thumbnail images of the slides, a text outline of the presentation appears in the left pane
Slide Sorter View Displays all the slides in a presentation on a single screen
Notes Page View Shows one slide at a time, along with any notes that are associated with the slide
Reading View Like slide show view, except it displays in a window rather than the whole screen
Slide Show View Lets you preview your presentation on the screen, so you can see it the way your audience will see it
Theme Collection of settings including colors, fonts, background graphics, bullet graphics, and margin and placement setting.
Format Painter A tool that copies formatting from one block of text to another
Numbered Lists A list where each item begins with a number
Bulleted Lists A list where each item begins with a bullet point
WordArt Allows you to use text to create a graphic object
Text Boxes A free-floating box into which you can type text
Quick Style Allows you to quickly format any text box or placeholder with a combination of fill, border, and effects formats to make the object stand out on the slide
