Unemployment Insurance a joint state-federal program under which state-administered funds pay a weekly benefit for a limited time to eligible workers when they are involuntarily unemployed.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services a service provided to injured workers to help them get back to work. Provided free to those who meet the legal eligibility guidelines.
Worker's Compensation guarantees financial assistance to workers injured on the job.

apprenticeship allows the student the opportunity to observe and participate in activities related to a career field; supervised by school personnel and related to the student's career choice. (May be paid or unpaid)
internship allows the student the opportunity to observe and participate in activities related to a career field; supervised by school personnel and related to the student's career choice. (May be paid or unpaid)
job shadowing a short-term experience that allows the student to follow an experienced worker and see the day-to-day activities of a particular career.
lifelong learning continuing development of knowledge and skills that people experience after formal education.
diverse economy economy composed of many ethnic, gender and socioeconomic groups.
changing economy transformation that occurs within an economy that either increases, sustains, or depletes its vitality.
independent learning method or learning process where learners have ownership and control of their learning. They learn by their own actions and direct, regulate, and assess their own learning.
motivation a feeling of enthusiasm, interest, or commitment that makes somebody want to do something, or something that causes such a feeling
