Electricity

TermDefinition
Static Electricity a build up of electric charges
Electric fields the area around any charged particle
Conductor Any material that easily allows the flow of electricity or electrons
Insulator Any material that doesn't easily allow the flow of electricity or electrons
Electric current flow of electric charge in a circuit measured in Amperes
Voltage difference pressure that drives charge through an electrical circuit. it is the product of the current of a circuit multiplied by the resistance of the circuit
Resistance a measure of the opposition to current flow in an electrical circuit, measured in ohms, symbolized by the Greek letter omega (Ω)
Ohm's Law the relationship between voltage, current, and resistance, where current is inversely proportional to resistance if voltage remains constant
