hydropower a renewable source of energy based on the natural moment of water
landfill a disposable site for solid waste
natural gas a gas, usually found in the ground positioned above the petroleum deposits, that's burned to obtain energy; a nonrenewable fossil fuel
nonrenewable not replaced by natural means within a short period of time
nuclear power energy harnessed from the decay of uranium atoms
petroleum (oil) a flammable, yellow-to-black liquid composed of hydrocarbons occurring naturally beneath earth surface; a nonrenewable fossil fuel processed to make gasoline used in vehicles
pollution the presence of harmful or unwanted levels material in the environment
renewable replaceable by natural means in short period of time
solar power energy collected from the sun and converted into useable energy; a renewable resource
wind energy energy from turbines that harnesses the movement of air and convert it to useable energy; a renewable blend source
