Time line A line that shows the order that events happen in time
Photographs A picture taken with a camera
Illustrations Drawings or paintings in a book to help understand the text
Captions Text that goes along with a picture to help describe what it is about
Diagrams A picture that shows the parts of something or how something works
Labels Words that name the parts of a drawing or photograph
Maps Drawings of an area that is made to show where something is
Charts and graphs Drawings that explain information or data
Icon A small picture that signals important information or action
Bullets Small dots or symbols at the beginning of lines that show a list
