FR stands for... Fixed Ratio schedule of reinforcement.
When do you reinforce on an FR 5 schedule? After every 5th occurrence of the behavior.
Definition: Negative Reinforcer Any event, that when terminated or prevented by a behavior, increases the RATE of that behavior.
VR stands for: Variable Ratio schedule of reinforcement.
When do you reinforce on a VR 5 schedule? After every 5th occurrence of the behavior ON AVERAGE.
Definition: Fixed Interval Schedule Provide reinforcer the first time the TB occurs after an interval of N length since the last reinforcement.
FI stands for: Fixed Interval Schedule of reinforcement
Definition: Variable Interval Schedule Provide reinforcer the first time the TB occurs after an interval, with the interval varying around an average of N length.
VI stands for: Variable Interval schedule of reinforcement.
