Think win-win

what is the main point of thinking win-win? building relationships with people while working for both of your benefits
what is the key to making friends according to habit 4? depositing acts of kindness and helpfulness in their emotional bank accounts
what is the first step in making a deposit in someone's Emotional Bank Account? finding out what a deposit is for the other person
What does a deposit of a small act of kindness look like? treating someone with kindness
What does a withdraw of a small act of kindness look like? being unkind, discourteous, and disrespectful
why is it important to keep promises in your relationships? it can bankrupt the emotional bank account of your relationship
why is keeping confidences so important? some things can humiliate others and might get you in trouble
why is gossiping about someone something to avoid? it would cause the people listening to you to wonder if you're doing the same to them
how can you be loyal to the absent? by standing up for them if someone is talking bad about them
why is it important to set clear expectations? so everyone understands what needs to get done
why is it important to apologize? it turns into a bigger withdraw if you refuse to apologize
why is it important to forgive and forget? so that you can avoid hurting yourself in the same way that you did before
what is the first rule in making a deposit? a deposit is only a deposit if the other person sees it as that
what is the second rule in making a deposit? it can take more than one deposit ti make up for a withdraw
