TermDefinition
Story Map Circles connected by lines that show important information from the story.
Timeline A line showing dates in the order the events happened.
Paired Selection Two stories or articles that are meant to ne read together to show comparison (similarities and differences).
Text Structure The organization the author uses to show how his ideas are connected.
Chronology/chronological A text structure showing what happens in a story in order by time.
Sequencing A text structure showing what happens first, next, and last in a story.
Cause and effect A text structure showing how one thing leads to another; why something happened and the result.
Compare and contrast A text structure showing how two or more things are alike and different.
