| MLA | MLA, which stands for Modern Language Association, is defined as a style of writing used for college-level writing. |
| CITATION | A quotation from or reference to a book, paper, or author, especially in a scholarly work. |
| FOOTNOTE | A string of text at the bottom of a page that provides an author's comments on the main text or citations of a reference work in support of the text. |
| END NOTE | A source citation that refers the readers to a specific place at the end of the paper where they can find out the source of the information or words quoted or mentioned in the paper. |
| INTERNAL CITATION | The brief form of the reference that gives information to uniquely identify the source in your reference list. |
| BIBLIOGRPAHY | A list of the books referred to in a scholarly work, typically printed as an appendix. |
| DICTION | The choice and use of words and phrases in speech or writing. |
| TRANSITIONS | The words or phrases that indicate a new thought, paragraph, or section is coming, keeping writing clear and organized. |
| SYNTAX | The arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language. |
