Longitudinal method | repeated observations of the same items over long periods of time |
Germinal Period | two weeks after fertilization, zygote moves down to uterus and implants in the lining |
Embryonic Period | eight to two week after fertilization, major organs and structure of organism develop |
Fetal Period | eight weeks after conception until the birth of the child |
Memory | active system that receives memories from senses and puts info into usable form and stores it away |
Sensory Memory | last two to three seconds, information passed into short term memory |
Short Term Memory | last twenty to thirty seconds, holds about seven items easy disturbed |
Long Term Memory | Lasts a lifetime, has unlimited capacity and can last a life time |
