| Electromagnetic Energy | A form of energy that travels through space as waves |
| Energy Conversion | A change from one form of energy to another |
| Conductors | materials that transfer energy easily |
| Kinetic Energy | energy of motion |
| The Law of Conservation of Energy | Energy cannot be created or destroyed |
| Insulators | Do not allow electricity to flow through them easily |
| Mechanical Energy | the energy associated with the motion and position of everyday objects |

| Radiation | Energy that is radiated or transmitted in the form of rays or waves or particles. |
| Specific Heat | The amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of a substance by 1 degree Celsius |
