meniere's disease chronic inner ear disease associated with intermittent build up of fluid in the inner ear
optic disk ocular end of the optic nerve where the retinal nerve fibers from the eye exit and the blood vessels enter the eye
optic nerve bundle of nerve fibers located in the back of the eye that connects the retina to the brain
otitis inflammation of the ear
otitis media infection of the middle ear
otoliths calcium carbonate crystals found in the utrical and saccule of the inner ear
otosclerosis hardening of the bones of the middle ear
ototoxicity damage or toxicity to the ear
peripheral vision some times called side vision
presbycusis bilateral hearing loss linked to aging and often accompanied by tinnitus
saccule saclike inner ear structure that senses vertical motion of the head
solution liquid containing a dissolved substance whereby the dissolved substance cannot be distinguished from the resultant fluid
suspension state of a solid when its particles are mixed with, but not dissolved in a liquid
tinnitus intermittent or continuous whistling, crackling, squeaking, or ringing noise in the ears
tonomety use of a device to measure the pressure in the eye
trabecular meshwork small openings around the outer edge of the iris

utricle sac-like inner ear structure that senses forward and backward motion and side-to-side motion of the head
