Think Win-Win
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Win-Lose | Too proud. Trying to get ahead of others. You can't win unless others lose. |
Lose-Win | Low on courage, high on consideration. Insecure. You don't stand up for yourself. |
Lose-Lose | Nobody wins. You seek revenge. Put other people down. |
Win-Win | Both parties win. Compromise. Agreement. Others feel good and you feel good. |
Consideration | For Lose-Win, you're high in consideration but low in courage. For Lose-Lose, you're low in both consideration & courage. |
Courage | For Win-Lose, you're high in courage but low in consideration. For Win-Win, you're high in both courage and consideration. |
Others' Deposits | Is the deposit you're thinking of really a deposit or a withdrawal for another person? |
Acts of Kindness | Treat people with kindness |
Keep Promises | Make good on your word |
Keep Confidences | Be careful about repeating things people tell you |
Be Loyal to the Absent | Avoid gossip |
Set Clear Expectations | Be specific. Don't leave things fuzzy. |
Apologize | Don't wait. Apologize right away when you make a mistake. Own up to the mistake you made. |
Forgive | Learn to forgive and forget. You'll only hurt yourself and others in the long run. |
