Identify different landforms

| hot spring | a spring that is produced by the emergence of geothermally heated ground water from the earth's crust |
| ocean | a great mass of salt water that covers 72% of the earth's surface |
| coastal plain | flat land near the ocean |
| mountain range | a series of land that rises to a great height |
| geyser | a natural hot spring that throws out steam and water from time to time |
| tundra | an area of arctic region that has no trees and very few other plants |
| mountain | an area of land that rises to a great height |
| gulf | a large area of a sea or ocean that is partially enclosed by land |
| desert | a dry area of land, usually covered with sand in which few plants or animals live |
| peninsula | a piece of land that sticks out into water from a larger land mass |
| canyon | a deep valley with steep walls on both sides that was formed by running water; gorge |
