Identify different landforms

lake a body of fresh or salt water completely surrounded by land
valley land between mountains or hills
cave a hollow area in the earth usually in the side of a hill or mountain with an opening to the outside
plateau an area of flat land that is higher than the land around it
coast the land next to the sea; seashore
hill a raised, usually rounded part of the earth's surface
hot spring a spring that is produced by the emergence of geothermally heated ground water from the earth's crust
ocean a great mass of salt water that covers 72% of the earth's surface
coastal plain flat land near the ocean
mountain range a series of land that rises to a great height
geyser a natural hot spring that throws out steam and water from time to time
tundra an area of arctic region that has no trees and very few other plants
mountain an area of land that rises to a great height
gulf a large area of a sea or ocean that is partially enclosed by land
desert a dry area of land, usually covered with sand in which few plants or animals live
peninsula a piece of land that sticks out into water from a larger land mass
canyon a deep valley with steep walls on both sides that was formed by running water; gorge
