vocab words for force and motion lesson

TermDefinition
Force A push or pull in a particular direction.
Motion A change in position.
Push Using force to move an object away from you.
Pull Using force to move an object toward you.
Friction A force that is created when two surfaces try to or move across each other.
Gravity The force that pulls objects toward Earth.
Acceleration How much speed changes in a certain amount of time.
Inertia An object at rest tends to stay at rest, an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
