Where are the transition metals located on the periodic table? They make up the largest part of the periodic table and are in the middle
Where are the least reactive elements on the periodic table? The Noble Gases are the least reactive metals and are found on the far right-hand side of the periodic table
Where are the most reactive elements on the periodic table? The Alkali Metals are the most reactive metals and are found on the far left-hand side of the periodic table
Where are the metalloids on the periodic table? The metalloids are along the zig-zag line in between the metals and nonmetals
Where are the nonmetals on the periodic table? They are located on the right side of the periodic table
Where are the metals on the periodic table? They are located on the left and middle parts of the periodic table
What is the smallest part of an element? An atom
What is the smallest part of a compound? A molecule
What does a period represent? They represent the number of valence shells an element has
What does a group represent? They represent the number of energy levels an element has
What is the definition of mass? The measure of the amount of matter a body or object contains
What is the Law of Conservation of Matter? Matter can not be created or destroyed
What is the definition of density? How tightly packed an object is
What is the formula for density? Density=Mass/ Volume
What are the types of physical properties? Density, color, volume, mass, boiling point, and melting point
What are the types of chemical properties? Flammability, toxicity, reactivity, heat of combustion, and chemical stability
What is the definition of melting point? When an object melts from a solid to a liquid
What is the definition of combustibility? Able to catch fire and burn easily
What is the definition of reactivity? How easily an object can react to other elements or objects
What is the definition of boiling point? When an object boils from a liquid to a gas
