Cardiac Terminology:
Dysrhythmia: Any disturbance in the rhythm. EX: A fib.
Arrhythmia: Any variation of rhythm. EX: heart block
Tachycardia: Fast
Bradycardia: Slow
Fibrillation: Common dysr.
Flutter: Flutter
Inotropic: Influence the force of contractions.
Chronotropic: Influence the rate.
Dromotropic: Influence conduction.
Cardiac Glycosides:Effects on the muscle: Positive inotropic: increase in contraction.Negative Chronotropic: decrease heart rate.Negative Dromotropic: decrease conduction of the heart cells.
